The Pacific Northwest is a region ideally suited for growing many different plants. So do you wonder why so many landscape trees die an early death? Dr. Chalker-Scott has a PH.D. in Horticulture from Oregon State University and is an ISA certified arborist. She is WSU's Extension Urban Horticulturist and an Associate Professor in the Department of Horticulture and Landscape Architecture. She is a regular contributor for "Master Gardener Magazine" and has written several books including "The Informed Gardener" and "The Informed Gardener Blooms Again."
