Chuck Cochran - new Board member celebrates natural world   (Posted 2/11/2010)
Chuck Cochran, new Corresponding Secretary for the Arboretum Foundation, notes that he values the opportunity to work as a volunteer and Board member and finds it very fulfilling. He has found in the Arboretum a place to celebrate the connection between man and his environment, and now considers it his "job" to help preserve an environment therapeutic to the needs of our ever changing world.

After receiving his master's degree in Theology, Chuck worked as a counselor, helping people troubled by the issues of daily life. Chuck, now retired for three years, states that he has "developed a profound respect for the celebration and preservation of the natural world around us" - a world of which we are a vital part.
